Las Cruces New Mexico Golf
Nestled in warm southern New Mexico, Las Cruces is home to exciting championship style golf at amateur prices, giving visitors the perfect way to enjoy one of our 350 days of sunshine a year. Local golf courses take advantage of the natural landscape, forcing golfers to steer clear of tricky desert brush and unforgiving rough bringing into play unexpected obstacles often requiring some creative shot making!
If you are looking to an alternative to southwest resort courses with pricey green fees and waiting lists for tee times, Las Cruces is the answer. No matter the season, an average round of golf - including cart - will be about $50 per person, compared with several hundred at many resorts in neighboring states.
Red Hawk Golf Club, Las Cruces’ newest course, is a links-style course featuring generous landing areas, rolling, challenging greens and plenty of water - 8 water holes to be exact! This course is sure to be a great addition to the Las Cruces golfing community for years to come.
A Golf Digest “best new course” nominee in 2001, Sonoma Ranch Golf Course features five tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all levels. Don’t be fooled, with its rolling, bunker strewn fairways undulating bent grass greens, this course is a challenge at every level.
As Las Cruces’ most established course, New Mexico State University Golf Course features postcard views of the Organ Mountains to the east and the Mesilla Valley to the west. If you are a long hitter, this is the course for you (do not be intimidated if you are not a long hitter, there are tee boxes for every level). Home to the New Mexico State University Aggie Golf Team, the “Aggie Tees” measure over 7,000 yards and incorporate an array of challenges for tee to green.
And in addition to the three public and one private course in Las Cruces, there are several courses within a short drive of Las Cruces, turning a weekend golf trip into a week-long golf adventure!
